I noticed that every July/August Clover has gotten a redesign (usually because I plan to use him somehow and keep wanting to make him faster to draw), and I was holding on to this version until issued a challenge on our Facebook group to make our own hero by the end of the week, which forced me to get off my ass and finally make it.

I don't know if I'm calling it an official version (_{'cus then I'd feel like dragging my Clover-inspired cohorts along for the ride}), but it's definitely one of my favorites--Maybe you can call it an in-between like the failure that was Limit form.

This one came from a daydream about a possible animation where Clover's petal shield (six-point barrier created in-between his petals) is broken, and right before he's hit, the symbol on his chest essentially unlocks a vast amount of stored power, transforming him into this. The black on his previous outfit become energy panels that can be used as shields, or materialized into his weapons. This is the only Clover that has no petals, logo, and can fly (All the others could just jump/glide).

Other details:
I really enjoyed the pose on this one--It's probably my most dynamic, and it was fun to shade. The name "distort" has no other origin than just sounding good when I tried to come up with one. For some reason, the form naming is following a pattern...(The last one was called "inverse." Too much time in Photoshop, huh?). It was a bit weird using so little black for once, but I still like how it turned out. I swear, the redesigns are getting so much more clean and streamlined that eventually he'll just be a black line on a white background.
